DEFAV issued an appeal for aid for earthquake victims.
Following the earthquake that affected thousands of people across 10 provinces, DEFAV Board initiated a relief campaign in response to the situation in Kahramanmaraş.
In a statement from the DEFAV Board, it was expressed:
Dear Friends,
On February 6, 2023, we experienced a major earthquake disaster affecting 10 provinces in our country. Our heartfelt condolences go out to our nation. Alongside our prayers, we believe that financial assistance is currently the most crucial means of aid. Therefore, we, as ITU Maritime Faculty Foundation, have decided to launch a relief campaign. The collected funds will be sent collectively to AFAD/KIZILAY or any deemed suitable institution.
