DEFAV Board Chairman Engineer İlker Meşe’s third book titled “The First Maritime Societies Established in the Ottoman Empire, the First Yearbooks Published in Maritime, and the Nutki Family” has been published.
Engineer İlker Meşe, who regularly writes about sailors’ memories in the Maritime Journal, has published his third book, following “Ships of the High Maritime School” and “Customs and Etiquette Rules at Sea”. This new book sheds light on the historical aspects of maritime societies, including previously unrevealed documents, and features photographs and memories related to the important role of the Nutki Family in maritime history.
