70th Year Plaque Presented to Brother Fahrettin

At the 137th Annual Fish Day of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Maritime Faculty, where we celebrated the 70th anniversary of graduation, the plaque and commemorative medal were also presented to the master of masters, Engineer Fahrettin Küçükşahin.

Brother Fahrettin received the commemorative medal and plaque from ITU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, ITU Maritime Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Özcan Arslan, and the President of the ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Association (DEFAMED) Captain Ufuk Teker.

Subsequently, a ceremony was held due to the renaming of the Ship Machinery Operations Laboratory in the Captain Altay Altuğ Laboratory and Dining Hall Building, recently inaugurated. The laboratory was renamed to the Instructor Engineer Fahrettin Küçükşahin Ship Machinery Operations Laboratory.

At this ceremony, representatives from maritime NGOs were present alongside ITU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu.

Lastly, Engineer Fahrettin Küçükşahin attended a book signing event for his work titled ‘Words Fly, Writing Remains’ organized by the ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Social Aid Foundation (DEFAV) at the dean’s office building.
