Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated with a special program at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ).

On the 84th anniversary of the passing of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) organized a commemorative program. The event took place at the İTÜ Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center and was attended by the İTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, deans, faculty members, as well as representatives from the İTÜ Maritime Faculty Alumni Association (DEFAV), including Vice President Capt. Tayfun Sözer and board member Müh. Adnan Erdal, along with students.

During the commemorative program, speakers highlighted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s life, military genius, and the story of how he saved a nation that was on the brink of destruction. The İTÜ Polyphonic Student Choir then performed songs beloved by Atatürk for the attendees.

The application deadline for dormitory scholarships and financial aid scholarships is November 15, 2024.
